SALVATION
ARMY ORANGE COUNTY TO DISTRIBUTE FOOD AND TOYS TO 8370
INDIVIDUALS AT THEIR CHRISTMAS WAREHOUSE

County Sheriff Mike Carona and Orange County Fire Authority
Chief Chip Prather to attend the first day of distribution
for the needy.
1674
families representing 8370 individuals will have a Christmas
this year. The Salvation Army Orange County is distributing
food and toys at their Christmas Warehouse, 1351 17th
Street and Bristol Street, Santa Ana, starting Tuesday,
December 17, 9:30 a.m. through Friday, December 20.
Orange
County Sheriff Mike Carona and Orange County Fire Authority
Chief Chip Prather will be there at 9:30 a.m. on that
first day of distribution. Carona is the Army's Orange
County 2002 Honorary Christmas Chairman and a member
of its Advisory Board. Prather also serves on the Board.
Throughout
the Christmas season The Salvation Army expects to serve
over 22,000 men, women and children in Orange County
through the Christmas Distribution Warehouse, Shopping
Sprees, Hospital/Rest Home visitation, the Adopt-a-Family
program and its Angel Tree program.
Salvation
Army Orange County Coordinator Captain Lee Lescano commented,
"We are very thankful for our donors and friends
who make all of this possible through their generous
gifts and donations." Lescano goes on to say, "Need
Knows No Season," we are grateful for monetary
gifts as well because The Salvation Army is at work
all year long to serve people in the 31 communities
of Orange County."
