Need Knows No Season
Kettle
Workers
"Building the future of Orange County's children and
families, one coin at a time."
Help us celebrate Christmas with The Salvation Army's Red
Kettles. Greet shoppers as they fill the kettles this season
with their contributions to help Orange County's most needy.
Kettles are located at grocery and retail stores throughout
the county. If you can spare a few hours, don't wait, call
our Volunteer Coordinator.
Warehouse
Distribution
Hundreds of volunteers are needed throughout the season to
coordinate, sort, pack and distribute the thousands of items
that come in for Orange County's children and families.
Corporate,
school, church and family teams are welcome.
--set-up inventory
--assemble and match gifts to their recipients
--pack food boxes
--organize toys and clothes

Angel
Trees
In your office, church, club or place of business-anywhere
you put up a Christmas tree for friends and co-workers during
the Holiday Season-you can decorate with The Salvation Army
Angels.
Each Angel has
the name and age of a child in need. It also has the child's
sizes and gift suggestions.
Employees or club/church
members choose Angels, purchase indicated gifts and return
them wrapped and labeled. A representative then calls The
Salvation Army to collect the gifts for distribution. Participants
retain the Angels as a reminder of the children who benefit.
To help our Angels
"keep watch over children in need," please call
our Volunteer Coordinator as soon as possible.
Food
Drives
One of the most important activities of The Salvation Army
is feeding the hungry-especially during the Holidays. Many
elementary schools collect canned goods during Food Drives.
Organizations conduct their own Food Drives and bring their
boxes and baskets to The Salvation Army Distribution Center.
If you are interested in helping this year call our Volunteer
Coordinator right away.
Toy
Drives
NEW toys are needed each Christmas to fill the wish lists
of many children who otherwise would have no toys. The Salvation
Army is not able to fix used or broken toys and therefore
cannot accept them for Christmas distribution. If your organization
or company is interested in conducting a Toy Drive call our
Volunteer Coordinator.
Adopt
a Family
Help an entire family all at once. You will receive the sizes
of everyone in the family and any special needs information.
You can give:
--food the family enjoys (including grocery store gift certificates.
--clothing and gift certificates
--toys matched to the ages of the children
