The Salvation Army's two Orange County youth centers built the life skills of 3,058 children while changing the lives of many at-risk youth. Physical, emotional and spiritual growth is emphasized in all youth center programs. Year-round programming includes summer week long residential and day camps where 630 children had an experience in the great outdoors and on field trips.

The local community is invited to participate in youth center programs. Sports leagues, after-school learning centers, arts and recreation give children as well as adults, an opportunity to build character as well as physical strength. The Doy and Dee Henley Youth Center in Tustin houses "The Creator's Corner" Christian preschool and child care center. 75 children, two and one half to five years in age, learn and grow in this new educational facility.
