ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF MIKE CARONA NAMED HONORARY CHRISTMAS CHAIRMAN FOR THE ORANGE COUNTY SALVATION ARMY

Orange County Sheriff Mike Carona has been named the Honorary Christmas Chairman for the Orange County Salvation Army.

For four years, Carona has lead the largest law-enforcement agency in Orange County; the second-largest sheriff's department in California and the fifth-largest sheriff's department in the nation.

At a recent White House ceremony, President George Bush said, "I want to acknowledge Mike Carona of Orange County, California." And continued saying, "I want to congratulate you for your good work; helping make your community as safe as possible."

Carona lives in the City of Orange where he resides with wife, Debbie and son, Matthew. He has served on The Salvation Army Orange County Advisory board since 1997.

As Honorary Christmas Chairman, Carona will attend several Orange County Salvation Army Christmas events.
