ART LINKLETTER TO SPEAK AT SALVATION ARMY ORANGE COUNTY “SPIRIT AWARDS” DINNER

The Salvation Army Orange County Advisory Board presents the Annual “Spirit Awards” Civic Dinner, Thursday, May 22 at the Hyatt Regency Irvine Hotel with the theme, “Every Child Matters!” Art Linkletter, star of show business for more than 65 years, is the guest speaker. Ed Arnold, KOCE news anchor, hosts the awards ceremony honoring the recipients of The “Others” Award, The “William Booth” Award and The “Volunteer of the Year” Award. This year a special “Spirit of the Army” Award is being presented to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim for their on-going support of Salvation Army Orange County programs and services.

Art Linkletter performed in two of the longest running shows in broadcast history, House Party and People are Funny. He is frequently seen on Larry King Live. An Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to him on May 16 in New York City. He presently holds two Emmys and a Grammy. Linkletter has written 23 books, including best seller Kids Say The Darndest Things and his most recent best seller, Old Age Is For Sissies

The “Spirit Awards” Sponsor Reception with Art Linkletter starts at 5:30 p.m. The Dinner and Program follows at 7:00 p.m. The Hyatt Regency Irvine Hotel is located at 17900 Jamboree Road, Irvine.
